Call for proposals: Women’s rights and gender equality

The overall aim of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ and the Embassy’s support to Women’s rights and Gender Equality  is to contribute to the economic and political rights of women, influence and participation in society, the absence of violence towards women and children, and women’s rights to safe sexual and reproductive health.




  • Projects geared towards ensuring full economic rights for women and equal access and opportunities in the labor market will be given priority.
  • Proposals that also address cross-cutting issues such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), fundamental human rights, women’s rights/gender parity, anti-corruption/good governance and/or has environmental protection components, are encouraged.
  • Project proposals from India-based organizations will be given priority in this call. Proposals to organize conferences or meetings without a comprehensive approach or concrete output are not likely to receive financing.


Funding Information:


Request grant amount may be up to 2 million NOK per year for up to 3 years.
