Call For Proposal For Small Local Projects in Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka in 2016
Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi (herein after “Embassy”) has the honor the inform all subjects interested in the possibility to submit applications for small local projects that project countries for 2016 are Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Small Local Projects:
Small Local Projects (“SLPs”) are the development projects financed by the Government of the Czech Republic, identified by the Embassy and after the approval of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic also administrated by the Embassy. SLPs are carried out by local subjects or companies. Purpose of the projects is to support positive changes in the country. The projects are to be carried out by local subjects (educational, health, social, cultural, NGOs, cooperatives, administrative-territorial entities, local communities, etc.) for realization of small scale development activities. The scope of content might vary from equipment supply, development activities implementation, educational and training activities, capacity building etc. SLPs should also contribute to visibility of the Czech Republic and improve understanding of Czech Republic as a donor country. Small local project can be a part of bigger (e.g. international) project.
SLPs are realized by local subjects. Local non-governmental non-profit organization and other subject qualified to realize development cooperation projects can participate. Qualified subjects/organizations have to prove 3 years of existence and experience with cooperation with international donors.
Place of implementation
In 2016 SLPs can be implemented in Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
- Contract will be signed with successful applicants by the 15th March, 2016.
- All project activities have to be concluded by implementing subjects and reimbursed by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi by the 31st October 2016.
- Final financial and narrative reports have to be submitted no later than one month after the end of project realization.
The maximum amount to be allocated for SML is:
Bangladesh: 300 000 CZK (approximately 10 000 EUR)
Nepal: 400 000 CZK (approximately 14 500 EUR)
Sri Lanka: 300 000 CZK (approximately 10 000 EUR)
Total amount of one project in particular country cannot be less than 200 000 CZK or exceed the max amount allocated for the country.
Conditions For Participation
The applicant must keep given and stated way of submitting of the project proposal and fulfillment of defined criteria. Qualified subjects/organizations have to submit relevant documents proving 3 years of existence and experience with cooperation with international donors.
Conditions Of Financial Support:
- Financial support can be used only for necessary project’s costs.
- Financial support can’t be used for business activities.
- Personal and travel costs should not exceed ¼ of the total budget.
- There is no juridical pretension to receive the financial support. Disapproval is final and binding and there is no possibility to make a complaint. The Embassy is not obliged to inform ab ut disapproval reasons.
Application must include filled Identification Form including proposed budget. Activities, outcomes and outputs have to be clearly defined and quantified in the identification form.
The Embassy has the right to monitor the SLPs during and after the implementation.
Communication language can be Czech or English.
Complete applications (Identification Form + Budget Outline) have to be delivered by email and by the post by 4 p.m. December 4, 2015.
Only applications sent by both email AND by post will be accepted.
