Empowerment of PwDs is an imperative in building an inclusive society. Mainstreaming inclusivity and accessibility also resonates very well with CII’s agenda of inclusive development. CII believes that Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) form a vast pool of manpower resource which can become productive and be contributing members of society, with suitable training and support from the corporate world. CII has been working towards mainstreaming PwDs into the workforce by sensitizing industry members, facilitating employment and improving access to services and facilities.
The webinar sessions are being organized for companies with a focus on raising awareness on fostering an inclusive workforce and integrating PwDs at work place. The series will have four online sessions focusing on different themes around employment of PwDs which will be scheduled between June-September 2018.
This online session will focus on Industry Practices – The How’s & Why’s of Inclusion of PwDs. The webinar is scheduled on 24th August 2018 from 1500 -1700 hrs.
You will get to hear from companies on what industry practices are being implemeted to create an inclusive workplace for PwDs. The industry leaders and champions will focus on recruitment best practiices such as job analysis, technology hiring – disruptive models, how industry are mainstreaming internal recruitment practice,etc. Also speakers will elboorate on best practices for inclusion of PwDs at workplace; touching upon few critical areas in the overal career development of PwDs i.e. traing and hiring, handholding and mentoring.
